
GATE 2026 Result, along with the cutoff, has been announced on the official portal on March 19, 2026. The result status of the candidates has been declared with the result announcement. PW SH Gowtham Gudimella has achieved his milestone rank in the GATE 2026 exam. He has secured 82.66 marks and AIR 1 in the GATE Engineering Sciences (XE) exam.

Gowtham scored 82.66 marks in GATE XE 2026.
He selected Solid Mechanics and Fluid Mechanics as his sections.
Initially prepared for three subjects: Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermodynamics.
During the exam, he checked all the question papers before choosing.
He found that Solid Mechanics was easier than Thermodynamics this year.
Finally chose the two easier and scoring subjects.
Gowtham completed his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from VNIT Nagpur and worked for 2 years (one each at TCS and VHL).
Pursued a Master’s at IISC Bangalore in Mechanical Engineering.
Currently employed at a Government R&D organisation.
He appeared for GATE XE to strengthen fundamentals and facilitate entry into a PhD program, signalling the exam’s role in academic career progression beyond just job placement.
