The GATE 2026 result is expected to be declared on Thursday, 19 March 2026, as per the official schedule provided by IIT Guwahati. Candidates who appeared for the exam on 7, 8, 14, and 15 February 2026 can check their results on the official website: gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
It is important to note that while this date is officially listed, all dates are liable to change. Variations in timelines, such as admit card availability and application rectification windows, may affect the final announcement.
Interestingly, the GATE result was also declared on 19 March last year, which further suggests that the same date might be maintained for 2026. Candidates are advised to keep their GOAPS login credentials ready to access the result promptly once the link goes live.
Official Timeline: IIT Guwahati has strictly adhered to its pre-declared calendar. The final answer keys were released on 17 March, maintaining the usual two-day buffer before result declaration.
GOAPS Readiness: The GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) is fully prepared to handle the high traffic on result day.
PSU Deadlines: Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), such as GAIL India, have application windows that close just before or after 19 March, aligning recruitment timelines with result release.
Last year, the GATE 2025 results were declared on March 19, setting a pattern for the expected release of GATE 2026 results. Candidates who appeared last year can use this as a reference, but it’s always recommended to check the official GOAPS portal for the exact date and updates.
