Selection Process & Shortlisting Criteria
A key feature of this recruitment is the absence of a written examination. The selection process primarily involves shortlisting candidates for an interview based on a weighted score derived from their academic and professional credentials.
The criteria for shortlisting are as follows:
Graduation Marks Weightage:
Candidates with above 60% aggregate in graduation will receive 15 marks.
Those with an aggregate between 55% and 60% will be awarded 10 marks.
Lower scores will receive fewer marks proportionally.
Post-Graduation (PG) & Ph.D. Weightage:
Candidates possessing a Post-Graduate degree will be granted additional weightage in their overall score.
Candidates with a Ph.D. will also receive an advantage in the scoring.
GATE Score Weightage:
The maximum weightage allocated for a valid GATE score is 15 marks.
Marks are distributed based on the GATE percentile achieved:
Above 95 percentile: 15 marks
Between 90 and 95 percentile: 12.5 marks
Below 85 percentile: 7.5 marks
The GATE percentile can be calculated either by comparing a candidate's marks to the All India Rank 1 holder's marks in that paper, or using a formula based on the candidate's All India Rank and the total number of candidates who appeared.
Interview:
Candidates successfully shortlisted based on their cumulative score from the above criteria will be invited for an interview. The final selection will be made subsequent to this interview stage.
