The selection methodology for the Assistant Engineer (E2 Grade) post follows a merit-based structure:
Shortlisting: Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their performance and valid score in the GATE 2026 examination.
Group Discussion (GD): Shortlisted applicants participate in a Group Discussion to assess communication and domain interaction skills.
Personal Interview (PI): Successful candidates from the GD round proceed to the final Personal Interview stage.
Calling Ratio: The interview calling ratio for this recruitment is set at 1:15 (fifteen candidates called for every single available vacancy).
Applicants must meet the following general educational qualifications and age parameters to be considered:
Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in their graduation (B.E. / B.Tech 4-year degree or integrated M.E. / M.Tech) from a recognized university.
For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the minimum required aggregate mark is relaxed to 50%.
Only the GATE 2026 score card is valid for eligibility and shortlisting purposes.
General / EWS: Upper age limit of 27 years.
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (up to 30 years).
SC / ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 32 years).
Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years relaxation (plus applicable category relaxation).
Assistant Engineers selected in the E2 Grade will receive a basic pay scale ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹1,60,000.
Along with the basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), medical coverage, and other perks as per company rules. The initial total gross emoluments are approximately ₹1,00,000 per month.
