NHPC Recruitment 2026 Shortlisting Criteria 

The shortlisting for these prestigious Trainee Engineer positions was primarily based on candidates' performance on their GATE 2024 and GATE 2025 scorecards. This recruitment initiative was initially announced with the provision to consider GATE scores from these two consecutive years, highlighting the weight given to competitive examination performance.

Civil Engineering (Trainee Engineer Civil)

Further Selection Process Details

Candidates who have been provisionally shortlisted will advance to the next critical stages of the selection process. These stages are designed to comprehensively evaluate the applicants' suitability for the Trainee Engineer roles. The upcoming assessments include:

  • Personal Interview (PI)

  • Group Discussion (GD)

  • Psychometric Assessment

These crucial interviews and group discussions are slated to take place during the second and third week of July 2024. All detailed information, including specific dates, times, and venues, will be directly communicated to candidates via their registered email IDs.

Online Consent Form

A mandatory step for all shortlisted candidates is to complete an online consent form. The direct link to access this form is embedded within the result PDF. This portal will be actively accessible from June 15 to June 20, 2024. Candidates are strongly advised to complete this consent process within the stipulated timeframe. Successful registration on the online consent portal is a prerequisite for the generation and issuance of interview call letters.
