How does selection happen for NPCIL Executive Posts?

Step 1: Candidates are shortlisted based on their GATE score.

Step 2: Shortlisted candidates attend an interview.

Step 3: The final selection is based only on the interview performance.

This means that once you reach the interview stage, your GATE score or rank is no longer considered. A candidate with a lower GATE rank can still get selected if they perform better in the interview.

NPCIL Executive Trainee Interview Cut-Off Marks

Below are the official interview shortlisting cut-offs for some engineering branches.

For Electronics Engineering, the cut-off is between 75.285 and 64. Instrumentation Engineering has similar cut-off marks.

These cut-offs are only for interview shortlisting. The final selection still depends on interview performance.

NPCIL Waiting List

NPCIL also prepares a waiting list.

If a selected candidate does not join the job, the seat is offered to the next eligible candidate from the waiting list. This helps NPCIL fill all available vacancies.
