NTPC, a Government of India enterprise and India’s largest integrated power utility, has released a recruitment notification for professionals.

Position Details

The recruitment is for Assistant Executive Operation on a Fixed Term Basis. A total of 250 posts are available.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a BE/B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying degree is required. Candidates from SC, ST, and PWD (Persons with Disabilities) categories who have achieved a passing grade in their graduation are also eligible to apply directly.

Experience Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum one year post-qualification working experience. This experience should be in the Operation and Maintenance of a power plant of capacity 40 MW or more.

Job Tenure

The employment is for a fixed term of three years. This tenure is extendable for two additional years based on performance, potentially resulting in a total of five years. The experience gained during this period can be beneficial for future recruitment in various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

Age Limit

The upper age limit for applicants is 35 years.

Remuneration Package

A fixed monthly remuneration of ₹55,000 will be provided. Additional benefits include House Rent Allowance (HRA), company accommodation, and night shift allowances, leading to an approximate total package of ₹1 Lakh.

Vacancy Distribution

The 250 vacancies are distributed among different categories as follows:

• General: 109

• EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 25

• OBC (Other Backward Classes): 39

• SC (Scheduled Castes): 42

• ST (Scheduled Tribes): 35
