SAIL Technical Vacancy 2025 

The recruitment drive will offer 124 positions for Management Trainee Technical (MTT) across various engineering disciplines. While the short notification has not specified branch-wise distribution, previous SAIL recruitments generally included:

Eligibility Criteria for SAIL Management Trainee 2025

To be eligible for the SAIL Technical Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

• Minimum 65% aggregate marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates.

• SC/ST/PwD candidates get relaxation up to 60% marks.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 28 years (as of 1st November 2025).

This year, SAIL has replaced GATE-based recruitment with a direct Computer-Based Test (CBT) process, making it more inclusive.

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Mode: Online

• Duration: 2 Hours

• Sections:

• Technical Discipline – 100 questions

• Aptitude, English, Reasoning & Quantitative – 50 questions

• Total: 150 Questions

• Language: English & Hindi

2. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)

• Shortlisted candidates (in 1:5 ratio) from the CBT will be invited for GD and PI rounds.

• Final merit will be based on:

• CBT – 85% weightage

• GD/PI – 15% weightage
