IIT JAM 2026 AIR 24 Sananda’s Success Story: How She Rebuilt Her Preparation with PW

After a disappointing first attempt in 2025, Sananda took a PW batch starting December, stuck to notes, DPPs, and test series instead of extra books, and landed AIR 24. Her mother was the first to hear the news. Curious how "sirf notes aur DPP" turned into a top rank? Read her journey below.

IIT JAM 2026 AIR 24 Sananda’s Success Story

Preparing for a competitive exam after an unsuccessful first attempt can be challenging, especially when limited revision time affects the final preparation. Sananda faced a similar situation in 2025, when her fifth-semester schedule left her unable to complete the revision she needed in the last month. She decided to give herself another year and prepare with a more focused approach.

For her second attempt, Sananda joined a PW batch and followed what was taught in class, focusing on notes, DPPs, test series, and regular revision rather than adding extra books. This structured approach helped her work on weak areas and strengthen her preparation, eventually leading to AIR 24. Her journey shows how staying consistent with the right study routine can make a difference.

How Sananda’s Journey Began with PW

After her first attempt, Sananda decided to give herself another year to prepare. For her second attempt, she joined a PW batch that started in December and chose to follow the resources and classes consistently.

“Maine batch liya tha jo December se start hua... aur maine jo kuch bhi aap log, teachers ne padhaya tha, usko follow kiya achhe se aur DPP kiya, test series diya aur jo last month mein hua tha, wo Rank Four Booster and Marathon thi, to mujhe bahut helpful laga.”

Sananda kept her preparation focused on what was being taught in the batch. She followed the classes, solved DPPs, attempted the test series, and used the booster and marathon sessions during the final month. This gave her a structured starting point for her second attempt.

The Struggles That Shaped Sananda’s Second Attempt

Sananda’s successful attempt came after facing difficulties in her previous attempt. In 2025, her fifth-semester schedule affected the time she could dedicate to the final revision phase.

“Maine to 2025 mein bhi diya tha... Fifth semester last mein hi tha, to isiliye last month mein jo revision zaroori tha, wo main nahi kar saki.”

Missing the crucial final revision phase became one of the reasons she felt her first attempt did not go as planned. Rather than stopping there, she decided to prepare for another year.

The second attempt also came with its own pressure. As a dropper, Sananda was worried about whether she would be able to achieve the result she wanted.

“Ek saal dropper thi, to mujhe bahut tension ho rahi thi ki ye is year mein hi mera last time hai, to hoga hi ya nahi.”

Along with her own efforts, the support of her family and friends helped her stay motivated during this phase.

How PW Helped Sananda Recover and Rebuild

For her second attempt, Sananda changed her approach by focusing more on revision and regular practice instead of collecting additional study material.

“Jo notes tha usko bhi revision kiya regular basis pe, jo DPP tha usko solve kiya, aur test series diya tha maine January tak. Aur phir January mein revision, revision pe hi focus tha mera.”

She did not rely on multiple extra books. Instead, she regularly revised her notes, solved DPPs, and attempted the test series. After January, she shifted her main focus towards revision.

The test series also helped her understand where she needed to improve.

“Test series mein maine mera jo weak point hai, usko main detect kiya aur phir usko recover karne ki bahut zyada koshish ki.”

By using tests to identify weak areas and then working on them, Sananda was able to make her preparation more targeted. Her experience also highlights why simply attempting tests is not enough; analysing mistakes and revisiting weak topics can make practice more useful.

Change in Result: From a Setback to AIR 24

The changes in Sananda’s preparation eventually reflected in her result. After an unsuccessful first attempt, she returned with a more focused routine of notes, DPPs, tests, and revision and secured AIR 24.

When asked about revision, Sananda explained how repeated revision helped her overcome one of her earlier difficulties.

“First time mein formula yaad karne mein bahut dikkat hoti thi, but revision-revision kiya to mujhe wo theek ho gaya dheere-dheere.”

Her result also became a moment of happiness for her family. When asked who she told first after receiving the result, Sananda said:

“Mummy ko.”

Her mother had supported her throughout the preparation, making the AIR 24 result an especially meaningful moment for both of them.

From PW Preparation to AIR 24: Sananda’s Journey

Sananda’s journey from her 2025 attempt to AIR 24 was not based on adding more and more study material. Her preparation centred on following her batch consistently, revising notes, solving DPPs, and using test series to find and improve weak areas.

“Maine jo kuch bhi aap log, teachers ne padhaya tha, usko follow kiya achhe se aur DPP kiya, test series diya...”

After facing a setback in her first attempt, Sananda used the additional year to build a more consistent preparation routine. Regular revision helped her strengthen concepts and formulas, while DPPs and test series gave her continued practice and a way to assess her preparation.

Her journey ultimately took her to AIR 24 in IIT JAM 2026. With this result, she is now looking ahead to her next academic goals, including preparation for NET and GATE.

Sananda’s story is a reminder that after a setback, improving the preparation strategy can be as important as simply studying for longer. Her focus on notes, DPPs, test series, and repeated revision helped her turn her second attempt into a much stronger result.

Sananda's story isn't about finding a shortcut or a secret resource — it's about sticking to notes, DPPs, and test series with honesty, especially after a setback. Her one-year drop wasn't wasted time; it was the space she used to fix exactly what went wrong the first time. For aspirants currently doubting whether "just revising what I have" is enough, her AIR 24 is proof that consistency, not extra material, is often the real difference-maker.
