• Submission of Admission Form: Qualified candidates are required to submit an online admission application via the JOAPS portal, typically starting in the last week of March or early April 2026.

• Choice Filling and Locking: Applicants must list their preferred academic programs and choice of IITs in order of priority.

• Centralised Counselling (CCMN): For admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), a separate counselling process known as CCMN is conducted based on the JAM scores.

• Seat Allotment Rounds: The authorities will release multiple admission lists (rounds 1 through 4) based on merit, category, and seat availability.

• Document Verification and Fee Payment: Upon being offered a seat, candidates must upload necessary documents for verification and pay the seat booking fee to confirm their admission.
