Securing AIR 52 in JEE Advanced does not happen overnight. It is not a lucky day or a sudden breakthrough. It is built slowly, through clarity, structure, discipline, and the courage to stay consistent when no one is watching.
Sushant’s journey from Jammu, where JEE awareness was limited, to securing AIR 52 is not just a rank story. It is a story of choosing focus over distractions, trusting Physics Wallah, and improving a little every single day. His preparation was not dramatic. It was steady. And that steadiness changed everything.
Sushant did not grow up in a city where JEE preparation was the norm. Awareness was limited, and serious aspirants were few. But it did not affect his dedication to crack the JEE.
“Dosti yaari thi sir, dost the but JEE mein zyada dost nahi the jo JEE seriously kar rahe hain kyunki wahan pe actually culture itna nahi hai, Jammu se aate hain aur wahan awareness itni nahi hai.”
Even in school, only a few were serious:
“Hum like school mein ek do dost the mere jo seriously kar rahe the jinse kabhi kabhi baat hoti thi.”
Instead of feeling left out, he accepted the situation and built his own focus. But for him, preparation was never just about books and lectures. It was mental.
He shared how his belief started early:
“11th mein jab maine start kiya tha to starting se hi mujhe samajh mein aa raha tha.”
His interest in subjects helped him stay consistent.
“Mujhe subjects mein interest tha jaise Physics… Maths mein maine calculus completed dekha tha.”
And most importantly:
“JEE mein mujhe kabhi yeh feel nahi hua ki matlab demotivational.”
He did not allow negativity to settle in his mind. That emotional stability helped him sustain effort for two full years.
This combination of internal discipline and mental strength became the true starting point of AIR 52.

Behind every top rank is a routine that most people never see. Sushant’s day was simple but extremely consistent.
“Sabse pehle main Chemistry revise karta tha, 9 baje se Chemistry revision start.”
He aligned his revision with the batch schedule:
“Jab IOC chal rahi thi tab main din mein IOC revise karta tha, jo batch chal raha tha usi ko chalate the.”
“Homework main generally Physics ka aur Maths ka poora homework main din mein hi karta tha.”
One of the strongest habits that shaped his result was the way he treated his notes. He did not believe in making notes once and leaving them untouched. He had shared:
“Notes revision and notes edit karte the apne ek tareeke se, sir yeh main bahut focus karta tha.”
“Maine dekha ki notes ek baar set kar lene ka koi matlab nahi hai agar aap usko update nahi kar rahe ho.”
So he kept upgrading them constantly.
“Main notes ko baar baar padhta tha aur usmein chhota sa point agar mujhe mile kisi question se ya kisi book se dekha hai to usko add karta tha.”
“Har baar notes mein aap improvement karte rehte the, highlighting ya kuch add karna.”
His routine was not extreme. It was consistent. And consistency over the years created the rank.
When he first heard about Physics Wallah, there were natural doubts. The price was different. The format was different. It did not look like traditional coaching.
“Sir 11th mein maine late thoda Arjuna batch join kiya tha aur kuch wahan se lectures dekhe kyunki friends ne bola tha ki online kar lo yeh accha hai.”
“Sir us time pe tha ki PW ka bahut trend chal raha tha aur bahut bachche identify kar rahe the.”
“Perception to change hua kyunki pehle jab suna tha to matlab batch ka price itna different, teaching ka mode itna different hai to obviously mujhe bhi tha, parents ko bhi tha thoda doubt tha ki yeh reliable hai ya nahi.”
So he tested it seriously. Studying with PW changed his perception and cleared all the doubts by seeing the result himself.
“Phir maine Arjuna batch liya tha aur kuch lectures dekhe maine aur bachchon ka feedback bhi dekha ki generally jo seriously padhai kar rahe hain unka feedback positive hi hai.”
“Aur mujhe bhi laga ki positive hi hai kyunki rank to aa gayi hai.”
PW did not win him over with promises. It won him over with delivery.
For any serious JEE aspirant, the biggest stress is uncertainty. Will the syllabus finish? Is the content relevant? Is the structure clear?
For Sushant, PW solved this.
“Best cheez yeh thi ki sir wahan par content timely aata hai aur syllabus agar woh kehte hain complete ho jayega by this time to woh ho jata hai.”
“Online mein inka system bahut well maintained hai aur content bahut relevant hai, content updated hai.”
“Aaj content bahut well structured hai, well planned hai.”
This clarity in structure allowed him to focus completely on preparation instead of worrying about planning. Physics Wallah became his roadmap.
When he was asked about his marks, there was no excitement, no dramatic reaction. The answer came calmly and simply:
“312.”
Behind that one number were two years of discipline, structure, and quiet belief. From a city where JEE awareness was limited to securing AIR 52 in JEE Advanced, his journey shows what steady effort can truly achieve.
Physics Wallah gave him a clear system, timely content, and a proper roadmap. He followed it sincerely, stuck to his routine, kept improving his notes, and stayed mentally strong throughout the journey.
His message to students is simple: stay interested in your subjects, trust the platform you choose, and keep working every single day without letting doubt enter your mind.
