The JEE Main 2026 application window will officially close today at 9 PM, and candidates must submit their forms on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in before the deadline. Once the registration shuts, NTA will open the JEE Main correction window from December 1, allowing applicants to fix errors in their forms.

Students must clearly understand the safe score for JEE Main 2026, as it helps guide their preparation strategy. A safe score is an estimated target that can improve your chances of securing a seat in a good engineering college. While it’s not a guaranteed cutoff, it serves as a helpful benchmark to plan your goals. Knowing this score gives you clarity on what to aim for throughout your studies. The higher your safe score, the better your chances of getting the college and branch you truly want.
Despite the NTA making the application process smoother, many students still encountered several issues this year:
1. Typing & Data Entry Mistakes
Rushing through the form often led to incorrect details such as the wrong date of birth, incorrect category codes, or an unintended exam city selection.
2. Aadhaar Mismatch Problems
Differences in spelling, numbers, or personal details between Aadhaar and school records triggered verification errors for many applicants.
3. Photo & Signature-Related Rejections
A large number of uploads were rejected because the image did not show 80% of the face, had poor lighting, wrong dimensions, or incorrect orientation.
4. Incorrect Document Formats
Students frequently uploaded PNG or HEIC files instead of the mandatory JPG or PDF formats, leading to repeated errors.
5. Technical Glitches During Submission
Heavy traffic caused server delays, slow page loading, and payment gateway failures, especially during peak hours.
6. Issues Due to Mobile Form Filling
Applications filled on mobile browsers often displayed incomplete fields, misplaced data, or formatting inconsistencies.
