Tie-Breaking Rule for JEE Advanced 2025 Rank List

In the event of two or more candidates having equal aggregate marks, the following tie-breaking process will be followed to decide the ranks:

• Step 1 : The candidate with greater positive marks will be given the higher rank.
• Step 2: If the tie is not broken after Step 1, the candidate with the greater marks in Mathematics will receive the higher rank. If the tie persists even after that, the candidate with the superior Physics score will be ranked higher.
• Step 3: If the tie is still not resolved after taking into consideration Mathematics and Physics marks, the candidates will be given the same rank.
