JEE Main 2026 Registration Session 2 NTA Guidelines: National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE Main 2026 in two sessions, allowing candidates multiple opportunities to improve their scores. With Session 2 scheduled for April 2026, NTA has laid down clear registration guidelines to ensure a smooth and error-free application process. These guidelines explain how to apply, pay fees, upload documents, and avoid common mistakes that can lead to rejection or cancellation. Candidates who missed Session 1 or want to enhance their performance can register separately for Session 2 using the official portal. Understanding and following NTA’s registration rules is essential to remain eligible for the exam and subsequent counselling.
NTA will open the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration window in the last week of January 2026. Candidates can either apply fresh or use the same application number generated during Session 1. Only one application form is permitted per candidate, and multiple submissions will result in cancellation. The application process includes online registration, filling personal and academic details, uploading scanned documents, and paying the examination fee. The confirmation page is generated only after successful fee payment. Candidates must carefully review all entries, as corrections are allowed only during the officially notified correction window.
Candidates must complete the application process exclusively through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Aadhaar-based authentication is encouraged to auto-fetch personal details. All documents, including photograph and signature, must meet NTA’s prescribed format and size. Fee payment is accepted only through online modes such as UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking. Applications without successful payment will be treated as incomplete.
NTA strictly prohibits submitting more than one application form for the same session. Any discrepancy found in uploaded documents, photographs, or signatures may be treated as unfair means. Candidates must use their own valid email ID and mobile number, as all communication from NTA will be sent through registered contact details. The application number generated during registration should be preserved for future logins, admit card download, and result access.
