
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Provisional Answer Key: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key and recorded response sheet for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 on February 4, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the January session can now check their answers online and calculate their expected scores. Along with the answer key, NTA has also opened the objection window, allowing candidates to challenge any discrepancies within the stipulated timeline.

The provisional answer key has been issued for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) only. All challenges must be submitted online, as offline objections will not be accepted. After reviewing the objections, NTA will publish the final answer key, which will be used to prepare the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result.

Log in using your application number and password
Enter the captcha code and submit
The provisional answer key and response sheet will appear on the screen
Download and save the files for future reference
Candidates who are not satisfied with any answer provided in the provisional key can challenge it by following these steps:
Log in to the candidate portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in
Click on “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key”
Select the question ID you wish to challenge
Choose the correct option from the available choices
Upload supporting documents (if any) in a single PDF file
Click on “Save your claim”
Pay the ₹200 per question challenge fee using online payment modes
Submit the objection and keep the confirmation for reference
The objection fee is non-refundable
Challenges submitted after 11:50 PM on February 6, 2026, will not be accepted
Objections can be raised only in online mode
Candidates will not be individually informed about the acceptance or rejection of objections
The final answer key will be released after subject experts review all valid challenges
