How to Choose Your Jharkhand Exam City Preference for JEE Main 2027?

Selecting your JEE Main exam city is part of the online application process. The exact 2027 process will be confirmed by NTA, but based on the current application procedure, you can follow these steps:

• Register on the JEE Main portal: Create your candidate account by providing the required personal, contact and other registration details.

• Log in to the application form: Use your application number and password to continue with the JEE Main application.

• Enter your address details: Provide your permanent and present address carefully, as exam-city choices are linked to the applicable address criteria.

• Select exam-city preferences: Choose your preferred Jharkhand cities from the options displayed in the application form and arrange them according to your priority. NTA's 2026 bulletin allowed candidates to select up to four cities, subject to the applicable address criteria.

• Review your preferences: Check that the selected cities are practical for your location and travel plans before proceeding.

• Complete the remaining application: Upload the required documents, provide the other details and pay the examination fee as instructed.

• Submit and save the form: After successful submission, download and keep the confirmation page and application details safely.

• Check the City Intimation Slip: NTA later provides advance information about the examination city allotted for the relevant session.

• Check your admit card: The admit card provides the final examination centre address, date, shift and reporting details.

Note: Selecting a city does not guarantee that NTA will allot that exact city. NTA may allot another city due to administrative or logistical reasons, and its decision regarding centre allotment is final.
