Knowing the exam day guidelines, what to carry and what to avoid is essential to prevent unnecessary stress or entry issues at the centre. What to Carry at JEE Main Session 2 Exam Centre

To ensure smooth entry into the exam centre, candidates must carry only the officially permitted items. Missing essential documents may lead to entry denial, so double-check everything before leaving home.

  • JEE Main Session 2 Admit Card – Carry a printed copy with a clear photograph and exam details. Ensure all instructions are visible.

  • Valid Photo ID Proof – Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, school ID, or driving licence. The name must match your admit card.

  • Passport-Size Photograph – Keep 1–2 photos the same as the one uploaded in the application form. These may be required for attendance.

  • Transparent Ballpoint Pen – Some centres provide pens, but carrying a transparent pen avoids last-minute issues.

  • PwD Certificate (if applicable) – Candidates claiming relaxation must carry supporting documents for verification.

  • Personal Hand Sanitiser (small transparent bottle) – Allowed at many centres, but check the admit card instructions.

What to Avoid at JEE Main Session 2 Exam Centre

Certain items are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Carrying restricted items may lead to disqualification or unnecessary delays during frisking.

  • Electronic gadgets – Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, or earphones are not allowed.

  • Study material – Notes, books, loose papers, or rough sheets are prohibited inside the hall.

  • Wallets and handbags – Avoid carrying valuables as storage facilities may not be available.

  • Metal accessories – Rings, bracelets, chains, and heavy jewellery may create issues during security checks.

  • Food items – Except for medical reasons, packed food and beverages are generally not allowed.
