IIM Bodhgaya IPM Admission Process

The IIM Bodh Gaya IPM admission process 2026 is based on the Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test, commonly known as JIPMAT 2026.

The admission process can be understood through the following stages:

  1. Appear for JIPMAT 2026.

  2. Meet the prescribed sectional eligibility requirements.

  3. Merit list preparation.

  4. Register the Expression of Interest (EOI).

  5. Receive an admission offer based on merit rank and seat availability.

  6. Accept the offer within the specified deadline.

  7. Pay the ₹90,000 Offer Acceptance Amount.

  8. Complete the admission and registration formalities.

Step 1: Appear for JIPMAT 2026

Admission to the IPM programme will be through JIPMAT 2026.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JIPMAT 2026 on behalf of IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu.

IIM Bodh Gaya may also explore the possibility of a joint examination with other IIMs offering the IPM programme.

Your JIPMAT performance will be considered while preparing the merit list.

Step 2: Meet the Merit List Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who score more than or equal to the category-wise sectional percentile of 30 will be eligible for consideration for the merit list.

However, the sectional percentile requirement alone does not guarantee an admission offer.

The sectional raw scores will also be subject to minimum qualifying requirements. These requirements will be decided after the JIPMAT result based on the available candidate pool.

Therefore, you need to meet the applicable percentile and raw score requirements to be considered further in the admission process.

Step 3: Merit List and Tie-Breaking Rules

After the JIPMAT result, the institute will prepare the merit list according to the applicable admission policy.

If two or more candidates have the same overall composite score, the following tie-breaking order will be used:

  1. Overall JIPMAT score, with the higher score ranked higher.

  2. VARC section score, with the higher score ranked higher.

  3. QA section score, with the higher score ranked higher.

  4. DILR section score, with the higher score ranked higher.

  5. Class 10 score, with the higher score ranked higher.

  6. Class 12 score, with the higher score ranked higher.

  7. Appearance in Class 12, with the more recent appearance ranked higher.

  8. Appearance in Class 10, with the more recent appearance ranked higher.

  9. Date of birth, with the younger candidate ranked higher.

These rules help determine the order of candidates when the applicable composite scores are the same.

IIM Bodh Gaya IPM Expression of Interest and Seat Allocation

After the merit list is announced, shortlisted candidates are required to register their Expression of Interest (EOI) within the specified timeline.

The EOI indicates your willingness to be considered for admission. Completing the EOI is necessary to be considered for an admission offer.

Admission offers are made based on two key factors:

  • Your position in the merit list

  • The number of seats available at the time of allocation

This means that meeting the eligibility requirements or qualifying for the merit list does not automatically guarantee an admission offer. The final offer depends on your position in the merit list and the seats available during the allocation process.

IIM Bodh Gaya IPM Offer Acceptance Amount

If you receive an admission offer and decide to accept it, you need to pay an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs.90,000 within the specified deadline.

The amount is later adjusted against the Semester I fee after you complete the formal registration for the programme.

You should therefore check the admission offer carefully and complete the payment and registration requirements within the prescribed timeline.

The admission offer depends on your merit position and the availability of seats at the time of allocation.

IIM Bodh Gaya IPM Withdrawal and Refund Rules

If you decide to withdraw after receiving or accepting an offer, the refund will depend on when the withdrawal request is submitted.

The applicable rules are as follows:

Withdrawal Situation

Refund Rule

Withdrawal within the specified withdrawal deadline

Offer Acceptance Amount refunded after deducting ₹1,000 as processing charges

Withdrawal after the prescribed deadline

No refund

Withdrawal after completing registration

Neither the Offer Acceptance Amount nor Semester Fee will be refunded

The institute will provide the detailed procedure and applicable deadlines at the time of issuing the admission offer.

You should check the instructions carefully before submitting a withdrawal request because the refund amount depends on the applicable deadline and stage of admission.
