A new Freeze/Float system has been introduced in Kerala NEET counselling 2026. This system gives candidates more choice after getting a seat.
Under the Freeze option, a candidate accepts the allotted seat and does not take part in further upgrades. Candidates choosing this option must report physically to the allotted college for admission and document verification.
Under the Float option, a candidate can keep the allotted seat while staying eligible for a better seat in the next counselling round. Such candidates can show their willingness for an upgrade online and upload the required documents for verification.
Candidates should select the option carefully after checking the allotted college and course.
Candidates can follow these simple steps to check the result after the counselling round.
Visit the official CEE Kerala counselling portal.
Log in using the KEAM application number and password.
Open the Kerala NEET counselling result section.
Select the required round.
Download the seat allotment result PDF.
Check the allotted college and course.
Follow the instructions for admission and reporting.
After the seat allotment result, candidates who are satisfied with their seat should complete the admission process within the given time. Candidates selecting the Freeze option need to report to the allotted institute for admission and document verification.
Candidates selecting the Float option need to complete the online steps given by CEE Kerala and submit the required documents for verification.
The Round 1 reporting period is from August 28 to September 5, 2026. Candidates should complete all required steps before the deadline to avoid losing the allotted seat.
Candidates should keep the following documents ready for admission and verification.
Nativity certificate
Class 10 or SSLC certificate for date of birth proof
Self-attested Class 12 marksheet
Self-attested HSC or equivalent marksheet

The commission will review the objections raised and then, provide the final round 1 counselling list result on August 27, 2026.
After the Round 1 result, candidates must complete admission or choose the required Freeze/Float option according to the counselling rules. The dates for Round 2, Round 3, and stray vacancy counselling will be announced later.
Candidates who do not get their preferred college in Round 1 may get another chance in later rounds, depending on seat availability and the counselling rules.
