To improve seat allotment chances in Round 4, candidates should organise their options into three structured tiers:
Dream Choices: Top-tier institutes and preferred branches where your rank is slightly below previous round cutoffs.
Target Choices: Realistic college-branch options where your percentile aligns well with recent closing ranks and available vacancies.
Safe Choices: Colleges with adequate vacant seats and historically lower cutoff requirements where you are willing to study if allotted.
Important Note: Do not add any college or branch that you are unwilling to join. An allotment in Round 4 requires immediate reporting and seat acceptance.
Once the seat allotment results are published on September 3, 2026:
Auto-Freeze Rule: If a candidate is allotted their First Preference (Choice 1), the seat is automatically frozen. The candidate must pay the seat acceptance fee online and report to the institute within the designated window.
Betterment / Accept Seat: Candidates allotted choices other than their first preference can accept the seat and decide whether to freeze or seek further updates as per CET Cell guidelines.
Document Verification: Carry original documents, including MHT CET scorecards, seat acceptance receipts, domicile, category certificates, and marksheets, during physical institute reporting.
