The Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) 2026 is a crucial exam for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate medical courses like MD, MS, M.Ch., DM, and MDS in premier institutes such as AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, and NIMHANS. With the January session of INI CET 2026 scheduled on November 9, 2025, students must be aware of the INI CET dress code 2026, prohibited items, reporting time, and other important exam day guidelines to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Following proper preparation and adherence to exam protocols can prevent last-minute issues and improve focus during the test.
AIIMS has issued a specific dress code to maintain security and streamline the entry process. Candidates must follow these guidelines carefully:
Simple Clothing: Wear clothes with minimal or no pockets to avoid security issues. Avoid outfits with large buttons, zippers, or metal accessories.
Footwear: Flat shoes or open slippers are recommended. High heels or shoes with thick soles are strictly prohibited.
Accessories: Avoid wearing jewellery, watches, goggles, belts, caps, scarves, or wristbands. There will be no facility to store these items inside the exam centre.
Religious Attire: Candidates wearing attire for religious reasons should report early to the centre and hand over any accessories as instructed by the management.
Following the dress code ensures quick entry and avoids unnecessary delays during security checks.
To maintain exam integrity, certain items are strictly banned at INI CET exam centres. Carrying them may result in the cancellation of your candidature.
Do Not Bring:
Mobile phones, pagers, calculators, Bluetooth devices, or USB drives
Wristwatches, ornaments, belts, goggles, caps, jackets, scarves, or headgears
Bags, books, notes, pens, pencils, or water bottles
Candidates are advised to carry only essential documents, like the admit card and valid photo ID, to avoid complications.
Candidates must plan their arrival at the centre carefully.
Reporting Time: Reach the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the scheduled reporting time.
Gate Closing Time: The gates close 30 minutes prior to the exam start. Late arrivals will not be allowed under any circumstances.
Exam Timing: The INI CET 2026 January session will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
Security Checks: Expect frisking, biometric verification, and ID checks before entry.
Careful planning helps avoid delays due to traffic, document verification, or security protocols. Always check your admit card for the exact shift timing, reporting time, and exam hall details.
Candidates must follow a set of essential instructions to ensure a smooth exam experience:
Document Verification: Carry INI CET 2026 admit card, government-issued photo ID, and application confirmation page. Photocopies or scanned copies are not valid.
COVID-19 Safety Measures: Wear a mask, carry hand sanitiser, and maintain social distancing inside the centre.
Inside the Exam Hall: Sit according to the roll number displayed on the computer screen. Rough work should be done only on the scratch paper provided. Do not leave the hall before the exam ends.
Compliance: Follow all instructions given by invigilators. Any attempt at cheating or misconduct will lead to the cancellation of candidature.
Post Exam: Hand over all scratch sheets to the invigilator and leave the hall systematically to avoid chaos.
Adhering to these guidelines ensures safety, fairness, and a smooth testing process.
