Documents Required for NEET 2026 Online Application: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification and started the online registration from 8th February 2026, and it will continue until 8th March 2026 (up to 9:00 PM) on the official portal. 

Filling the NEET (UG) 2026 application form requires candidates to upload several scanned documents and images in specific formats and sizes. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clearly mentioned that the entire process is online, and no document needs to be sent physically. 

However, incorrect or unclear uploads can lead to rejection of the application. As per the NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin, candidates must keep all required documents ready before starting the form to avoid mistakes during upload.

List of Documents Required for NEET UG Application 2026

Below is the complete list of documents/images that candidates must upload while filling out the NEET 2026 application form:

  1. Recent Passport Size Photograph

    • Taken after 01 January 2026

    • White background, 80% face visible (without mask)

    • JPG/JPEG format (10 kb to 200 kb)

  2. Live Photograph

    • Captured during form filling via webcam/mobile camera

    • Must match Aadhaar records (if Aadhaar used)

  3. Signature

    • JPG/JPEG format (10 kb to 100 kb)

  4. Left and Right-Hand Fingers and Thumb Impressions

    • JPG/JPEG format (10 kb to 200 kb)

  5. Class 10 Certificate

    • For Date of Birth proof

    • PDF format (50 kb to 300 kb)

  6. Class 10 Marksheet

    • PDF format (50 kb to 300 kb)

  7. CGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate (if applicable)

  8. Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) (if applicable)

    • PDF format

  9. PwBD/PwD/UDID Certificate (if applicable)

  10. Identity Proof

  • Aadhaar Card (preferred), Passport, PAN Card, DigiLocker ID, or Govt. Photo ID

  • JPG/JPEG format

  1. Address Proof (Present and Permanent)

  2. Citizenship Certificate / NRI / OCI / Foreign Candidate Proof (if applicable)

  3. Scribe Documents (only for eligible PwBD candidates)

  • Scribe signature

  • Qualification certificate

  • Undertaking for own scribe

  • Certificate of physical limitation to write

NTA strictly warns that unclear photographs, signatures, or wrong uploads may lead to rejection and can be treated as unfair means.

Important Points to Remember

  • All documents must be clearly legible.

  • File size and format must match NTA guidelines.

  • The same photograph will be used for admit card, exam attendance sheet, and counselling.

  • Aadhaar is recommended to avoid extra verification documents.

  • No correction facility is given for photograph, signature, and finger impressions.

  • Keep a printed copy of the Confirmation Page of the online application form.

  • Preserve proof of fee payment (bank transaction details) along with the confirmation page.

  • Keep 4–6 identical passport-size photographs and 4–6 postcard-size photographs used during the application.

  • Retain a copy of the system-generated Self Declaration (for candidates from the UT of Jammu & Kashmir who opted for 15% All India Quota seats).

Proper preparation of these documents before starting the application form will help candidates avoid last-minute errors and rejection.
