  • Verify Personal Details: Check for mistakes in the candidate's name, date of birth, gender, category, and PwD status.

  • Check Photograph and Signature: Ensure the images are clear and belong to the candidate. If the photos are swapped or blurred, report it instantly.

  • Keep Proof of Communication: Save a copy of the sent email and any complaint numbers provided by the NTA for future reference during counselling.

  • Appear with the Current Admit Card: The NTA usually allows candidates to appear for the exam with the downloaded admit card even if it contains errors, provided the agency has been informed. The correction is often processed in the records later.

  • Timing: Helpdesk services are typically available from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is advised to resolve these issues at least 2–3 days before the exam date (May 3, 2026).

NEET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates need to follow the official guidelines to ensure a smooth examination experience. The following protocols must be followed on May 3, 2026:

  • Reporting Time: Candidates must reach the centre at the time indicated on the admit card. Entry closes strictly at 01:30 PM.

  • Mandatory Documents: Carry the printed admit card with a passport-sized photo pasted on it, a valid original photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, or PAN Card), and an additional passport-sized photograph for the attendance sheet.

  • Postcard Size Photo: A 4"x 6" color photograph with a white background must be pasted on the proforma downloaded with the admit card.

  • Biometric Verification: Candidates must undergo mandatory frisking and biometric attendance before entering the hall.

  • Dress Code: Wear light-colored, half-sleeved clothes without large buttons or elaborate embroidery. Footwear should consist of slippers or low-heeled sandals rather than shoes.

Prohibited Items Candidates Not To Carry In NEET Exam

Strict security measures are in place to prevent unfair practices. The following items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall:

  • Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, smartwatches, or calculators.

  • Stationery Items: Textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, geometry boxes, pencil boxes, plastic pouches, calculators, pens, scales, or writing pads. (A pen will be provided by the NTA inside the hall.

  • Communication Tools: Any camera or tracking devices.

  • Eatables: Any food items, water bottles (except transparent ones for diabetic candidates with prior permission), or snacks.

  • Personal Belongings: Wallets, handbags, belts, caps, or jewellery (rings, earrings, nose-pins, necklaces, or bracelets).

Candidates found in possession of any prohibited items may be disqualified from the examination and face further disciplinary action.
