NEET preparation involves more than completing lectures and practising questions. For Soumya Mangwana, timely doubt resolution, teacher guidance, and regular planning support became important parts of his preparation. He eventually scored 665 marks and secured AIR 699 in NEET, with 355 marks in Biology.
His journey highlights how PW Saarthi supported him across different stages of preparation, from clearing individual doubts to understanding concepts and maintaining a study plan.
Soumya’s experience with PW Saarthi centred on the accessibility of teachers and the support he received when he needed help with difficult concepts or questions. He found the doubt-solving process useful not only because his own questions were addressed, but also because he could learn from doubts raised by other students.
He explains:
“Wo matlab do-do din tak mujhe yaad hai kuch-kuch doubts mere jo do-do din tak ma'am, sir ne mere ko help ki hai lagataar mujhe baar-baar samjhaya hai and doubt matlab khud ke to clear hote hi hain. Like kai baar aisa hota hai ki aapne jab join kiya to join karte hi like pehle koi jo student hai wo doubt le raha hai to wo doubt bhi aapka ek hisaab se clear ho jaata hai to wo bhi help ho jaayega.”
This meant that doubt-solving was not limited to getting a quick answer. Soumya recalled instances where teachers explained his doubts repeatedly, while questions raised by other students could also help him understand concepts he might have been unsure about.
The support also extended beyond individual doubts. Soumya recalled an instance involving Evolution where a teacher conducted a complete short lecture to help explain the concept.
He says:
“Maine Evolution ki ek baar mere ko yaad hai like Subraj Jaiman ma'am hai. Unhone Evolution ka ek poora short lecture liya tha to usmein maine to aapko lectures bhi liye ja sakte hain; doubts to of course aapke solve.”
For Soumya, this showed that the academic support could go beyond answering a particular question. When a concept needed more explanation, a dedicated lecture could be used to strengthen his understanding.
Along with doubt-solving and concept support, Soumya also highlighted the planning guidance he received. According to his experience, teachers could help students create a plan and follow up on their progress during the preparation journey.
He explains:
“Teachers even help to maintain your planning, like when you start, you should matlab aapko ek conversation karna hai teacher ke saath, then wo aapko plan bana ke bhi denge ki aapko ye aise-aise karna hai, then wo aapki reports lenge ki aapne ye kiya is day mein kya kiya and poora throughout journey they will non-academic bhi kaafi help kiya hai.”
This added a planning and accountability aspect to Soumya’s preparation. Instead of focusing only on academic doubts, the guidance also involved discussing his plan and checking what he had completed during the journey.
Soumya’s preparation resulted in 665 marks and AIR 699 in NEET. His Biology score stood at 355 marks. The transcript notes that he had one incorrect Biology question, which came from Evolution.
With an AIR of 699 and an EWS category rank of 46, Soumya was considering AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Rishikesh for his medical college preference at the time of the interview.
His result brought together the different aspects he highlighted about his preparation: resolving doubts, strengthening concepts, receiving teacher guidance, and maintaining a study plan.
Soumya Mangwana’s NEET journey shows that preparation can become more organised when academic doubts, concept clarity, and planning are addressed together. His experience with PW Saarthi highlights the importance of asking questions, learning from explanations, following a suitable plan, and staying consistent throughout the preparation. His AIR 699 in NEET provides an encouraging example for aspirants working towards their own medical entrance goals.
