The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the gateway for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate medical courses in India. As the exam date approaches, having your admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination hall. However, many candidates face the stressful situation of losing their application number, which is required to download the hall ticket. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), there are established digital methods to retrieve these details securely through the official portal.
To download your admit card without the application number, you must first recover your credentials using these steps:
Visit the Official Website: Go to the NTA NEET (UG) portal at @neet.nta.nic.in.
Access the Login Window: Click on the link for "NEET (UG) 2026 Admit Card" or "Candidate Login".
Use the Recovery Link: Look for the link that says "Forgot Application Number?" and click on it.
Enter Required Details: You will be prompted to enter specific personal details exactly as they appear on your confirmation page:
Candidate’s Name
Father’s Name
Mother’s Name
Date of Birth
Category
Submit and Retrieve: After entering the details and the security pin, click "Get Application Number." The system will display your number on the screen or send it to your registered mobile number and email ID.
Once you have retrieved your application number, follow these instructions to get your admit card:
Login: Enter your Application Number and the password created during registration.
Admit Card Link: Click on the "Download Admit Card" button.
Verify Details: Check your name, roll number, test center address, and timings carefully.
Print: Download the PDF and take at least 2–3 clear printouts on A4-sized paper for future reference.
Identity Proof: Candidates must carry a valid photo ID (preferably Aadhaar Card) along with the admit card to the exam center.
No Physical Copy: NTA does not send admit cards by post; they must be downloaded online.
Reporting Time: You must reach the center at least 2 hours before the exam. No entry is allowed after 01:30 PM.
Contact Support: If you face persistent issues, you can contact the NTA helpline or visit a Common Services Centre (CSC) for assistance.
