
NEET 2026 Eligibility for Foreign Boards: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set the NEET 2026 Eligibility for Foreign boards. It includes the nationality and verification requirements for the candidates to apply for the NEET UG 2026 registration. Candidates are required to submit the valid documents to proof as thier eligibility criteria. International students to apply if they have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. Candidates must score at least 50% in PCB and provide an Equivalency Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
NEET eligibility for overseas education includes Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO).
Non-Resident Indian (NRI): Indian citizens who live abroad for more than 183 days in a financial year.
NRI candidates must submit an NRI certificate issued by the Indian Embassy in their country of residence.
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): Candidates holding an OCI card are now eligible for a wider range of seats as per recent judicial guidelines.
However, some state-level restrictions may still apply to OCI candidates.
The PIO category has been merged with the OCI category for NEET admissions.
Citizens of any foreign country are eligible to appear for NEET UG 2026. It applies to students from various foreign boards seeking medical education in India.
Foreign nationals must upload a scanned copy of their valid passport during registration.
They can upload a Citizenship Certificate issued by the competent authority of their home country.
These candidates are generally eligible for admission under the NRI/Foreign quota.
Admission is available in private and deemed universities.
They must follow the rules and guidelines set by the respective state governments and institutions.
Candidates should submit the relevant proofs for verification of their nationality during the NEET UG 2026 registration process.
