The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued important instructions for parents and guardians of candidates appearing in the NEET UG 2026 exam. These guidelines are designed to ensure that students attend the examination in a safe, timely, and disciplined manner. Following these instructions is crucial to avoid last-minute issues on the day of the exam.

1. Importance of Parental Guidance

Parents and guardians are expected to guide their wards appropriately before leaving home for the NEET (UG) 2026 exam. Key points include:

• Candidates will not be allowed to enter the Examination Centre after 1:30 PM.

• Plan travel in advance, considering traffic, weather conditions, and the location of the centre.

• Ensure your ward follows all instructions and maintains discipline in the Examination Hall.

• Educate your ward about NEET rules and prohibitions, including the strict ban on unfair means.

• If your ward notices any unfair activity by other candidates, instruct them to inform the invigilator immediately.

2. Items to Bring to the NEET 2026 Examination Centre

Candidates are only allowed to bring the following items:

• Admit Card with a passport-size photograph affixed.

• One passport-size photograph to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet.

• Valid original identity proof, such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, or any government-issued ID.

• PwBD certificate, if applicable.

• One postcard-size color photograph (4” x 6”) with a white background, to be pasted on the Proforma downloaded with the Admit Card.

Note: Candidates must not carry any barred items to the examination centre.

3. Dress Code for NEET 2026

• Candidates must follow the prescribed dress code.

• Students wearing customary or religious attire must arrive by 12:30 PM, to allow sufficient time for security checks.

4. Arrival Time and Travel Recommendations

• Candidates should reach the Examination Centre well before 1:30 PM.

• It is advisable to visit the Examination Centre a day before the exam to confirm location, distance, and travel time.

• Early arrival ensures candidates are available for compulsory physical frisking and avoids stress caused by delays.

5. Mobile Number and Email of Parent/Guardian

• While submitting the online application form, it is mandatory to provide the mobile number and email of a parent or guardian.

• A copy of the Confirmation Page and Final Score Card will also be sent to the parent/guardian.

6. Compliance and Discipline

• Candidates must adhere strictly to all rules; any breach will result in denial of entry to the Examination Centre.

• Engaging in disruptive, unauthorized, or unfair activities may lead to debarment and possible legal action by NTA.

• Parents should emphasize the importance of honesty and discipline to their wards to avoid any complications.
