  1. Check the Sheet: Ensure the OMR sheet is not torn or misprinted.

  2. Fill Personal Details: Enter the Roll Number and Test Booklet Number in the provided boxes.

  3. Darken the Bubbles: Under each box, darken the circle that matches the number written above.

  4. Mark the Code: Ensure the Test Booklet Code on the OMR matches the one on the question paper.

  5. Write Name and Sign: Write the candidate's name in running handwriting and sign the sheet at the designated time.

How to Fill Roll Number in NEET OMR Sheet?

The Roll Number is a 10-digit number found on the admit card. 

  • Write the numbers clearly in the boxes at the top.

  • Carefully find the corresponding circle below each box.

  • Darken the circle completely using a ballpoint pen.

  • Double-check each digit before marking to prevent mistakes.

How to Fill Test Booklet Number & Code?

The Test Booklet Number is a 7-digit number printed on the question paper.

  • Booklet Number: Write this number in the boxes and darken the circles below.

  • Booklet Code: Every OMR sheet has a specific code (like A, B, C, or D). It must match the code on the test booklet. The candidate must report it to the invigilator immediately to get a replacement. The codes do not match.

Rules for Marking Answers in NEET OMR Sheet

  • Use the Right Pen: Use only the blue or black point pen for marking the answers.

  • One Answer Only: Mark only one bubble in the OMR sheet. 

  • Darken Completely: Darken the entire circle in the OMR sheet. 

  • No Changes: Mark the answers carefully as no changes can be made.

Many students lose marks because of simple errors. Here are the most common mistakes to avoid:

  • Multiple Marking: Marking two bubbles for one question.

  • Incomplete Bubbles: Leaving the circle half-empty or using a light stroke.

  • Stray Marks: Making random marks or lines on the sheet. The OMR scanner may misread these marks as answers.

  • Writing Outside Boxes: Ensure all writing stays within the provided boxes and circles.

  • Do Not Fold: Never fold or wrinkle the OMR sheet.

  • No Extra Info: Do not write anything on the OMR sheet except what is asked.

  • Sign the Declaration: Sign in the box provided. 

NEET OMR Sheet Pattern & Question Distribution

The NEET 2026 exam consists of 200 questions. The OMR sheet is divided into sections:

  • Section A: Contains 35 questions for each subject. All these questions are compulsory.

  • Section B: Contains 15 questions for each subject. Candidates must attempt only 10 out of these 15 questions.

  • If a candidate attempts more than 10 questions in Section B, only the first 10 attempted ones will be evaluated.
