Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a high-level review meeting to assess preparedness for the upcoming NEET UG re-examination, with a focus on ensuring the smooth, secure, and transparent conduct of the medical entrance test.
According to the Ministry of Education, the meeting was attended by senior officials and functionaries from the Ministry of Education, National Testing Agency (NTA), State Governments, and Higher Education Institutions.
During the review meeting, the Education Minister emphasised the need to maintain the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and efficiency throughout the examination process.
The meeting reviewed various aspects of preparedness, including coordination among agencies, examination logistics, and measures aimed at ensuring that the examination is conducted fairly and without disruptions.
The review meeting brought together stakeholders from multiple institutions involved in conducting the examination. Officials discussed preparedness at the national and state levels and assessed arrangements required for the smooth administration of the re-examination.
The Ministry said the review was aimed at ensuring robust coordination among all stakeholders responsible for conducting the exam.
The meeting comes ahead of the NEET UG re-examination, one of the country's largest undergraduate entrance tests for admission to medical courses. The Ministry of Education has repeatedly stressed the importance of safeguarding the credibility of national-level examinations and protecting the interests of candidates.
By convening the high-level meeting, the ministry sought to review preparedness and reinforce measures designed to ensure that the examination is conducted in a secure, efficient, and transparent manner.
