The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the NEET UG 2026 Result today, bringing relief to nearly 20 lakh medical aspirants across India. The results have been declared on schedule, ensuring that the counselling and admission process for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Nursing, Veterinary and other allied medical courses can begin without delay.
Candidates who appeared for the examination can now download their scorecards from the official NEET website.
Here are the key highlights of the NEET UG 2026 results:
Nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.
11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission.
The examination was conducted at 5,440 centres across 551 Indian cities and 14 international cities.
NEET UG 2026 was conducted in 13 languages.
More than 58% of all qualified candidates are women.
Results have been announced in time to facilitate the counselling and admission process.
This year's examination witnessed exceptional performances from students across the country.
138 candidates scored above 690 marks out of 720.
19 candidates scored more than 700 marks.

Among the top performers:
More than 93% were first-time NEET candidates.
Nearly 99% belonged to the 17–19 years age group.
The Top 17 candidates, who scored above 705 marks, belong to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
Qualified candidates emerged from all 36 States and Union Territories, reflecting the nationwide reach of the examination.

Dhruv Tripathi (Andaman & Nicobar Islands) – 606 marks
Fahmida Anees (Lakshadweep) – 573 marks
Overall:
17 State Toppers scored 700 or above.
26 State Toppers scored above 690 marks.
The 138 highest scorers came from 66 different cities across India.

One of the biggest highlights of NEET UG 2026 is the outstanding performance of women candidates.
More than 58% of qualified candidates are women.
56.8% of women who appeared in the examination qualified.
In comparison, 55.1% of male candidates qualified.
The data once again reflects the growing participation and success of female students in medical entrance examinations.

Following the declaration of results, the counselling process will commence shortly.
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for the 15% All India Quota for MBBS and BDS admissions.
State counselling authorities will conduct admissions for the 85% State Quota seats.
The NEET score will also be used for admissions to AYUSH courses, B.Sc. Nursing (Hons.), BVSc & AH and other allied programmes as per the respective admission authorities.
