Common Scam Tactics to Watch For

Based on NTA's warning and the recurring pattern of NEET-season fraud, candidates and parents should be alert to:

• Calls or messages claiming they can "block" a specific MBBS/BDS seat before official counselling rounds begin

• Offers to "adjust" or "improve" a NEET score or rank for a fee

• Requests for candidate credentials, application numbers, or OTPs over phone or WhatsApp

• Fake websites mimicking neet.nta.nic.in or mcc.nic.in with slightly altered URLs

• Unsolicited calls referencing a candidate's real NEET rank or marks to appear credible (often scraped from published toppers lists or leaked data)
