With NEET (UG) 2026 results declared on 16 July 2026, one practical step every candidate — qualified or not — should complete immediately is securing a verified, tamper-proof copy of their scorecard and OMR sheet.
NTA makes candidates' scanned OMR answer sheets and digital scorecards available in a form that can be safely stored via DigiLocker, India's government-backed digital document locker. Unlike a downloaded PDF sitting in your phone's storage — which can be lost, corrupted, or edited — a DigiLocker-stored document carries government-verified authenticity that counselling authorities and colleges can trust without re-verification.
Download your official scorecard first from neet.nta.nic.in using your application number and date of birth/password.
Open the DigiLocker app or website (digilocker.gov.in) and sign in via Aadhaar-linked mobile OTP.
Search for "NTA" or "NEET" under the "Search Documents" or partner issuer section.
Link and pull your NEET 2026 scorecard directly into your DigiLocker if NTA has issued it as a linked document; otherwise, upload the verified NTA PDF into your DigiLocker's personal "Uploaded Documents" section for safe custody.
Cross-check your OMR sheet (displayed 13–15 July 2026) against your scorecard for consistency before counselling begins.
MCC and State counselling authorities require original or verified scorecards at multiple stages — document verification, seat allotment confirmation, and college reporting. Having a DigiLocker-backed copy avoids last-minute panic if a physical printout is misplaced during a high-pressure counselling window.
Only use official NTA and DigiLocker channels (neet.nta.nic.in, mcc.nic.in, digilocker.gov.in). NTA has explicitly cautioned candidates against third-party websites or agents offering to "verify" or "secure" scorecards for a fee — a common vector for scams during result season.
