NEET Stray Vacancy Round 2026: Registration, Seat Allotment, Dates & Final Admission Process

The NEET Stray Vacancy Counselling is the final stage of the MCC counselling process conducted after Round 3 to fill the remaining vacant seats in participating medical and dental colleges. According to the MCC UG Counselling Information Bulletin, there are four rounds of counselling—Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the MCC Stray Vacancy Round. This round is conducted completely in online mode for eligible candidates.

The NEET Final Round Counselling provides one last opportunity for candidates to secure admission into MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing programmes under the participating institutes.

The MCC Stray Vacancy Round follows the standard online counselling process:

• Registration and fee payment

• Choice filling and choice locking

• Reporting to the allotted institute for admission within the prescribed dates

MBBS Stray Vacancy Round 2026

The MBBS Stray Vacancy Round is conducted for vacant seats remaining after completion of Round 3 in:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS/BDS seats

• Deemed Universities

• Central Universities

• AIIMS

• JIPMER

• B.Sc. Nursing courses

The round is conducted online by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) as part of the final counselling process.

Stray Vacancy Seat Allotment 2026

The Stray Vacancy Seat Allotment will be processed on 1 and 2 October 2026, and the result will be published on 3 October 2026.

Candidates allotted seats must report to their respective institutes between 4 October and 10 October 2026 to complete the admission process.
