Satyajeet's family has relied on farming and livestock for generations. However, life became even more difficult after Ganga erosion damaged their home and farmland. The little land that remained stayed submerged for nearly six months every year, making it difficult to earn a stable livelihood.

Recalling his family's struggles, Satyajeet said:

"Hamare papa abhi tak kisaan hain. Pashupalan bhi karte hain. Yeh aisa kaam hai jismein kabhi chhutti nahi ho sakti."

Describing the family's situation, he added:

"Jo thoda bahut hamara khet bacha tha, woh bhi saal ke chhe mahine dooba rehta hai. Thoda bahut anaj uga paate hain, ussi se hamara kaam chal jaata hai."

Despite financial difficulties and the lack of a dedicated study environment, his parents ensured that his education never took a back seat.
