NEET UG 2026 candidates will be able to access important documents like OMR answer sheets, score cards, and admit cards in their DigiLocker accounts if they give consent at the time of application. This will simplify the retrieval and verification of key records for future use.
The National Testing Agency has introduced a digital facility for NEET UG 2026 candidates to access key examination documents through DigiLocker. Registered candidates who consent to storage at the time of submitting the online application will find their scanned OMR answer sheets and score cards stored in DigiLocker. The admit card will also be retrievable from the same platform, making it easier for students to manage and access their records.
As per the notification, candidates will be able to access several important NEET UG 2026 documents digitally, including:
Scanned copy of the original OMR answer sheet
NEET UG 2026 score card
NEET UG admit card
Confirmation page of the online application form
These documents will be available in digital form and can be accessed anytime after they are issued.
The notification explains the process through which NEET UG 2026 documents will be made available to candidates on DigiLocker after obtaining their consent during the application process.
Candidates must provide consent at the time of filling out the NEET UG 2026 online application form for the storage of their data in DigiLocker.
Once consent is given, NTA will upload the respective documents to the candidate's DigiLocker account.
Candidates can access these by logging in to https://www.digilocker.gov.in using their credentials.
DigiLocker is an online platform that is linked to the candidate's Aadhaar (UIDAI) number and offers dedicated cloud storage. It enables Indian citizens to store, access and verify digital copies of documents issued by the government and registered issuers. The Organisations which are registered with DigiLocker can directly upload electronic copies of documents to user accounts. Citizens can also upload their own scanned legacy documents and make use of the digital eSign facility for self-attestation.
DigiLocker is an official digital document platform maintained by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The notification highlights several advantages of using DigiLocker for storing and accessing NEET UG 2026-related documents, such as:
Easy Accessibility
Candidates can access their NEET UG-related documents anytime and from anywhere once they are uploaded to DigiLocker. This eliminates the need to keep physical copies of the OMR answer sheet and score card.
Time Saving and Easy to Use
With documents stored digitally, candidates do not need to search for printouts or reach out to authorities for reprints. This is especially useful during counselling, admission or verification processes.
Authenticity and Verification
Documents stored in DigiLocker are issued by the registered authority, which makes verification easier. Institutions and counsellors can directly verify these records without manual checks.
Recovery of Credentials
If a candidate forgets their User ID or password for the NEET UG portal, they can easily retrieve their application number or registered mobile number through their DigiLocker account to regain access to the portal.
Digital Signing Option
Self-uploaded documents in DigiLocker can be digitally signed using the eSign facility. This is similar to self-attestation and adds an extra layer of legitimacy to the uploaded documents.
Candidates are advised to give their consent during their application to store their NEET UG 2026 data in DigiLocker. Giving consent ensures that NTA can safely upload their documents, and the candidate can access them later, anytime, for personal or official use.
This initiative is part of the broader effort to promote digital governance, reduce dependency on paper, and provide a reliable and secure way for students to manage their exam-related documents.
