NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Documents Required: As the NEET UG 2026 re-examination approaches, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has reminded candidates to carefully check the list of mandatory documents required on the examination day. Candidates who fail to produce the prescribed documents at the test centre may not be permitted to appear for the examination.
The re-exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 21, 2026, and candidates are advised to prepare all required documents well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
According to the official instructions, candidates must carry only the prescribed documents to the examination centre. Invigilators will verify these documents before allowing entry into the examination hall.
NTA has clearly stated that candidates without the required documents will not be allowed to take the test.
Candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam must bring the following documents:
Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card downloaded from the official NTA website.
A recent passport-size photograph, identical to the one uploaded during the application process, must be pasted in the designated space on the admit card.
Students are required to carry one extra passport-size photograph, the same as uploaded in the online application form.
This photograph will be pasted on the attendance sheet at the examination centre.
Candidates must also bring one postcard-size (4" x 6") colour photograph with a white background.
The photograph should be pasted on the proforma downloaded along with the admit card.
Candidates must carry any one original and valid photo ID issued by a government authority.
Accepted documents include:
Aadhaar Card
Passport
PAN Card
Voter ID Card
Driving Licence
DigiLocker ID
APAAR ID
Photocopies or expired identity documents may not be accepted.
Candidates claiming relaxation under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category must carry the relevant certificate issued by the competent authority.
Where applicable, candidates should also bring the certificate of physical limitation to write.
The documents help authorities verify the identity of candidates and ensure smooth conduct of the examination. NTA uses photographs and identity proofs to prevent impersonation and maintain examination security.
Candidates are advised to match their photographs and personal details with the information printed on the admit card before leaving for the examination centre.
Before heading to the exam centre, candidates should ensure they have:
Printed admit card with photograph pasted
One extra passport-size photograph
One postcard-size colour photograph
Original valid photo ID
PwBD-related certificates (if applicable)
Candidates should keep these documents in a folder and verify them a day before the examination to avoid unnecessary stress on exam day.
With strict verification measures in place, students are strongly advised not to overlook any of the mandatory documents, as failure to produce them may result in denial of entry to the examination centre.
