NEET UG 2026 Updated Exam City Allocation

NTA has refined the exam city allocation process for NEET UG 2026 to ensure efficient centre management and candidate convenience. Candidates must select their preferred exam cities carefully during registration, as no changes will be permitted later. The entire allocation process will be automated, with city and centre allotment depending on administrative and logistical feasibility. Details of the final exam centre will be mentioned on the admit card.

How Exam City Preferences Must Be Selected

Candidates must select three exam cities in priority order from Appendix-V of the information bulletin. Choices are limited to the state of permanent or present address. Selecting nearby cities is recommended to avoid inconvenience.

Rules Behind Automated City and Centre Allotment

City allotment will be system-generated without human intervention. If candidate numbers are low in a city, NTA may merge cities or allot centres elsewhere, even outside the chosen preferences.

Key Points  Candidates Must Remember

Exam centre details will be printed on the admit card. No request for city or centre change will be entertained. Candidates must appear at the allotted centre at their own expense, and no TA/DA will be provided.
