NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 Fee Refund: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to activate the NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 Fee Refund Link today, May 21, 2026, for candidates who appeared in the May cycle examination. According to the official FAQs released by NTA, students will be allowed to update their bank account details to receive the refund of examination fees already paid. The clarification comes after several NEET aspirants raised concerns regarding the refund timeline and payment method. NTA has already confirmed through its official notice and social media responses that all eligible candidates will receive refunds and no additional fee will be charged for the re-examination process.
NTA has officially stated that the refund module for updating bank account details will be made available by May 21, 2026. Candidates are currently able to update address and city preferences, while the refund section is expected to go live separately.
The agency clarified the update in its FAQ section related to the NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 process. Students who paid the examination fee earlier will not need to make any fresh payment for the re-exam.
The refund facility is being introduced because many candidates completed their application forms through cyber cafes and Common Service Centres (CSCs), which may have different payment accounts linked to the transaction.
Once activated, candidates will be able to submit their preferred bank account details online for the refund process.
NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 Fee Refund Link (To be updated today)
NTA mentioned the refund process timeline in the official FAQ section shared for candidates. According to the response provided by the agency, the bank account update module for fee refund will be provided by May 21, 2026.
The official FAQ stated:
“The module for sharing bank account details for refund of examination fee will be provided to candidates by 21st May 2026.”
This indicates that candidates can expect the refund submission process to begin from May 21 itself. However, NTA has not yet announced the final refund credit date.
In its official notice released on May 12, 2026, NTA confirmed that all examination fees already paid by candidates would be refunded.
The notice stated:
“The registration data, candidature, and examination centres opted for in the May 2026 cycle will be carried forward to the re-conducted examination. No fresh registration will be required, and no additional examination fee will be levied. In addition, fees already paid will be refunded to the students and the exam will be re-conducted using NTA's internal resources.”
The notice also confirmed that:
No fresh application form is required
Existing candidature will remain valid
Previous exam city preferences will be carried forward
No extra examination fee will be charged
On May 19, 2026, a student asked NTA on X (formerly Twitter) about whether the examination fee would definitely be refunded.
Replying to the queries, NTA stated:
“It will be refunded. All candidates will be given an option to update the Bank Account in which they want the refund. This is being done, as there are many candidates, who had submitted forms through Cyber Cafes and CSCs and default refund will go the Bank Account from which fees were paid.”
The agency further explained that students would be allowed to update bank account details if they wanted the refund credited to a different account.
This clarification provided relief to candidates who used third-party payment methods while submitting their application forms.
As of now, NTA has not announced any official refund credit date for NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 candidates.
The agency has only confirmed that the bank account update module will be activated by May 21, 2026. After candidates submit their details, the refund process is expected to begin in phases.
Students are advised to keep checking the official portal for further announcements regarding refund processing timelines and transaction status updates.
The NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 refund process will be conducted completely online through the official NTA portal. Candidates will need to log in using their application credentials and submit the required bank details carefully.
NTA has advised students to ensure that the bank account details entered are correct to avoid refund delays or transaction failures.
