PwD Certificate for NEET 2025: The PwD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) certificate is an important document for students with disabilities who want to take the NEET exam. According to the National Medical Commission (NMC) rules, candidates who have a NEET UG PwD certificate receive a 5% reservation in medical seats across the General, General-EWS, OBC, SC, and ST categories.
The PwD certificate provides many benefits for candidates appearing in the NEET exam. These benefits include extra time to complete the exam and the option to have a scribe for visually impaired candidates or those with locomotor disabilities. The certificate also provides relaxation in eligibility criteria, application fees, and special facilities during the exam, ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
Candidates applying for the NEET 2025 exam under the PwD category must submit a valid PwD certificate for NEET 2025. Only those with a certificate issued by an authorized medical board can claim PwD benefits in medical courses. The official PwD certificate pro forms can be downloaded from the NEET UG 2025 Information Brochure. In addition to the PwD certificate, candidates must also submit other documents like Category Certificate, Class 10th Certificate, and Citizenship Certificate.
