The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026 has become a major topic of discussion across India. The Rajasthan SOG started investigating the NEET UG paper leak case. The SOG is a special team of police that handles serious crimes. They found out that a "guess paper" was being shared among students on social media apps like WhatsApp and Telegram. The guess paper had about 410 questions. Around 120 questions were found same asked in the NEET UG exam organised on May 3, 2026.
The police have already caught several people. So far, about 15 suspects have been taken into custody. These people include owners of coaching centres, consultants, and even a medical student. The investigation shows that the leak might have started in Sikar, Rajasthan, which is a famous place for coaching.
The SOG found a WhatsApp group called "Private Mafia" with over 400 members. This group was used to send the leaked questions to students. The police believe that people were selling these papers for a lot of money. Some students allegedly paid between ₹5 lakh and ₹30,000 to get the questions before the exam.
NEET UG Paper Leak Network Trail to places like Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, and even outside Rajasthan in Kerala and Uttarakhand. It appears that a student studying in Kerala sent the paper to someone in Sikar. It spread to many other students through local hostels and coaching networks.
NTA has announced the NEET UG exam to be cancelled on May 12, 2026. A fresh exam will be conducted so that every student gets a fair chance. This action by the SOG has helped protect the future of many honest students who worked hard for the exam.
