The police department has issued an order that a 200-metre area across the NEET testing centres will be declared a prohibited zone. All the Xerox and cyber centres will be closed on the NEET exam days. The purpose is to smoothly conduct the Re-NEET exam.
According to the Bengaluru Police, a 200-metre area around all NEET-UG examination centres has been declared a prohibited zone. The order will remain in force during the examination and for some time after the exam is over.
The decision has been taken to maintain law and order and to provide a peaceful environment for candidates appearing in the examination.
The police have also ordered the closure of all Xerox centres, cyber cafes, and computer centres located within a 200-metre radius of the examination centres.
These shops will remain closed on 21 June 2026. The step has been taken to stop unfair practices and to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
Officials said that special security arrangements have been made for NEET-UG 2026. Police personnel will be deployed near the examination centres to maintain order and prevent any disturbance.
The authorities expect a large number of candidates and parents to gather near the centres. Therefore, the restrictions have been imposed to avoid overcrowding and maintain safety.
