Re-NEET Result 2026: Along with the declaration of the Re-NEET UG 2026 result, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important advisory regarding the counselling process and warned candidates against fraudulent admission claims.
The agency clarified that NTA only conducts the entrance examination and declares the results. The counselling and seat allotment process for medical admissions will be carried out by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and respective state authorities.
Candidates have been advised to rely only on official websites and avoid unauthorised agents or fake portals promising admissions.
In its official result notification, NTA stated that counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Meanwhile, admissions under the 85% State Quota will be handled separately by individual state counselling authorities.
The agency said:
"Counselling for the All-India Quota in MBBS/BDS is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). State quotas are conducted by respective State authorities."
This means candidates will have to separately track both MCC counselling schedules and their respective state counselling notifications depending on the seats they wish to apply for.
NTA has specifically instructed candidates to rely only on official sources for counselling-related updates.
Students should regularly visit the following websites:
NEET Official Website: neet.nta.nic.in
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC): mcc.nic.in
Respective State Counselling Portals
All counselling schedules, registration dates, seat matrices, choice-filling details and allotment results will be released through these official platforms.
With counselling set to begin soon, NTA has also issued a strong warning regarding fraudulent calls, messages and fake websites.
According to the official notice, candidates may receive misleading offers related to:
Guaranteed MBBS admission
Seat blocking services
Rank improvement schemes
Paid counselling assistance
Fake document verification services
NTA clarified that it does not contact candidates asking for money, passwords, OTPs or login credentials.
The agency stated:
"Candidates are cautioned against fraudulent calls, messages or websites offering admission, seat blocking or score improvement. NTA does not contact candidates seeking money or credentials."
Students and parents have been advised to remain vigilant during the counselling process.
Candidates who receive suspicious calls, emails or messages can report them directly to NTA.
Email: neetug2026@nta.ac.in
Helpline Number: 011-40759000
NTA has urged candidates to immediately report any fraudulent activities to prevent scams during the admission season.
The agency has also shared its official communication platforms where candidates can receive authentic updates regarding Re-NEET UG 2026.

Candidates are advised not to rely on unofficial social media pages or third-party websites for counselling information.
Following the declaration of results, the next major phase will be the counselling process.
The admission process generally includes:
Registration for MCC and State Counselling
Choice Filling and Locking
Seat Allotment
Document Verification
Reporting to Allotted Colleges
Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy Rounds
Since admissions take place in multiple rounds, candidates are advised not to panic if they do not secure a seat in the first round.
The Re-NEET UG 2026 counselling process is expected to begin shortly after the release of results. Candidates should regularly monitor official portals, complete registrations on time and keep all required documents ready.
Students must remain cautious of fraudulent admission offers and avoid sharing personal details or making payments to unknown individuals claiming to guarantee medical seats.
Following only official notifications and participating in all counselling rounds can significantly improve the chances of securing admission in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses.
