The declaration of the AIAPGET result is important for candidates planning admission to postgraduate AYUSH programmes. However, NTA does not conduct the counselling process.
According to the result notice, the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) will conduct counselling for admission to All India quota seats in Government, Government Aided, National Institutions, Central and Deemed-to-be Universities established under a Central Act.
For State/UT quota seats, the respective designated State/Union Territory counselling authorities will conduct the counselling.
Admission and seat allocation will depend on factors including:
AIAPGET 2026 merit
Candidate's choice of subject
Fulfilment of eligibility criteria
Applicable counselling guidelines
Domicile criteria, wherever applicable
Reservation policies
Availability of seats
Therefore, qualifying in AIAPGET does not by itself complete the admission process. Candidates must follow the relevant counselling authority's schedule and eligibility requirements.
Candidates should identify the counselling route applicable to the seat they are seeking.
For All India quota seats: AACCC will conduct the counselling process as specified in the notice.
For State/UT quota seats: The designated State/UT counselling authority will conduct counselling according to the applicable rules.
Candidates should therefore avoid relying only on the NTA result portal for counselling updates. They should also monitor the official counselling authority relevant to their preferred seat and institution.
Candidates who have qualified according to the applicable cut-off should now focus on the admission process.
Save a clear digital copy of the AIAPGET 2026 scorecard and keep a printed copy for future requirements.
Verify the discipline, category and NTA Score shown in the result-related documents.
NTA has clearly stated that it has no role in counselling. Candidates should therefore follow AACCC or the relevant State/UT counselling authority.
Candidates should carefully review the applicable eligibility conditions, domicile requirements and reservation rules before participating in counselling.
Candidates should keep their examination and academic documents ready for the counselling and admission process. The exact document requirements should be checked in the applicable counselling notification.
Candidates should use the following official websites for updates:
AIAPGET/NTA: exams.nta.nic.in/aiapget/
NTA: www.nta.ac.in
The NTA notice states that candidates can log in to the AIAPGET website to view, download and print their scorecard.
For counselling, candidates should follow the official AACCC or applicable State/UT counselling authority website.
