Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026 Notification Released for 354 Posts

The Directorate General Assam Rifles, Shillong, has issued the notification for the Technical and Tradesman Recruitment Rally 2026. A total of 354 Group C vacancies have been announced for posts including Warrant Officer, Havildar and Rifleman.

Eligible Indian male citizens can submit their applications online from September 28 to October 28, 2026, up to 11:59 pm. The recruitment rally is tentatively planned to begin from November 23, 2026.

Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026 has been announced for 354 Group C Technical and Tradesman vacancies. Candidates can check the major recruitment details, including application dates, vacancies, eligibility and selection process, below.

Assam Rifles Vacancy 2026

The 354 vacancies are spread across several technical and tradesman positions. The posts include Cipher, Electrical Fitter Signal, Lineman Field, Armourer, Vehicle Mechanic, Mason, Physiotherapist, Draughtsman and others.

The highest number of vacancies is for Warrant Officer (Cipher) with 124 posts. Category-wise, the total vacancies include 53 SC, 25 ST, 97 OBC, 34 EWS and 145 UR posts.

Assam Rifles Eligibility 2026

Educational qualifications and age limits differ according to the post. For example, candidates applying for Warrant Officer (Cipher) must have passed 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Mathematics and English along with the prescribed technical qualification, or hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/ICT from a recognised institution.

For several Rifleman and Havildar technical posts, candidates are required to have passed Class 10/Matric along with the relevant ITI training or diploma. The prescribed age limit is generally 18 to 23 years for these posts, while selected Warrant Officer posts have an age limit of 18 to 25 years.

Assam Rifles Selection Process 2026

The recruitment process will be conducted through multiple stages. Candidates will have to qualify the Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test and Document Verification, followed by the Computer-Based Test, Skill-Based Trade Test and Detailed Medical Examination.

For the Physical Efficiency Test, male candidates from all regions except Ladakh have to complete a 5 km run within 24 minutes. Candidates belonging to the Ladakh region have to complete 1.6 km within 7 minutes.

Assam Rifles Application Fee 2026

Candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories have to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee. Payment can be made through the prescribed online mode or SBI challan.
