The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has cautioned candidates against a fake notification related to the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) that is currently being circulated across social media platforms. The commission clarified that the notice is completely unauthorised and has not been issued through any official BPSC channel.
Candidates preparing for the recruitment examination have been advised to ignore such misleading information and verify every update only through the commission's official website and verified social media accounts.
In an official post shared on its verified X (formerly Twitter) account, BPSC informed candidates that a fake examination notice is being widely circulated online. The commission stated that the document contains incorrect information and should not be considered authentic.
BPSC also urged aspirants not to rely on notifications shared by unofficial websites, social media pages, or messaging groups. Instead, candidates should depend only on official announcements issued by the commission.
According to BPSC, the fake notification includes misleading information regarding the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Preliminary Exam and certain other examinations proposed for 2026.
The commission has made it clear that no such notification has been released officially. Aspirants have therefore been advised to ignore rumours and avoid acting on any examination-related information unless it is published through official BPSC sources.
BPSC released the notification for the 72nd Combined Competitive Examination on May 6, 2026, inviting applications for 1,230 vacancies across various state government departments.
The online registration process commenced on May 7, 2026, and concluded on May 31, 2026.
The recruitment process will be conducted in the following stages:
Preliminary Examination
Main (Descriptive) Examination
Personality Test/Interview
Candidates qualifying at each stage will become eligible to appear in the subsequent phase of the selection process.
Since the postponement of the preliminary examination, many candidates have been seeking clarification regarding the revised examination schedule. However, BPSC has not yet issued any fresh notification announcing the new exam date.
The commission has advised all registered candidates to remain patient and continue checking official communication channels for verified updates instead of depending on rumours circulating online.
