
Bihar School Examination Board has officially released the BSEB Bihar Board Matric Compartment, Special Exam 2026 date sheet. Students who were unable to pass the Class 10 board exams or those looking to improve their scores can appear for these exams.
As per the official schedule, the theory exams will be conducted from May 2 to May 6, 2026, while practical exams will be held earlier.
Practical Exams: April 29 and April 30, 2026
Theory Exams: May 2 to May 6, 2026
Exam Shifts:
First Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM
Second Shift: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
The board will conduct exams in two shifts daily, though timing may slightly vary depending on the subject.
First Shift: Mother Tongue (Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Maithili)
Second Shift: Second Indian Language (Sanskrit, Hindi, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri)
First Shift: Science (till 12:15 PM), Music (for visually impaired candidates)
Second Shift: Social Science (till 4:45 PM)
First Shift: Mathematics, Home Science (for visually impaired candidates)
Second Shift: English (General)
First Shift: Elective Subjects (Advanced Math, Commerce, Economics, Persian, Sanskrit, Arabic, Maithili), Fine Arts, Home Science, Dance, Music
Second Shift: Vocational Subjects (Security, Beautician, Tourism, Retail Management, Automobile, Electronics & Hardware, Beauty & Wellness, Telecom, IT/ITeS)
The Bihar School Examination Board has also issued key guidelines:
15 minutes reading time will be given before the exam starts
Extra time for special category students:
Visually impaired and differently-abled candidates can use a scribe
Additional 20 minutes per hour will be provided
Entry closing time:
9:00 AM for first shift
1:30 PM for second shift
No entry will be allowed after the gate closes
The board has instructed schools to submit internal assessment marks for Science and Social Science projects to the District Education Officer by May 4, 2026.
