3 Major Reforms for 2026 Exams
The webcast primarily focuses on three "first-time" initiatives aimed at modernizing the Indian examination system:
1. On-Screen Marking (OSM) for Class 12
For the first time, Class 12 answer booklets will be evaluated digitally. Scanned copies will be checked on computer screens by examiners to eliminate totaling errors and increase transparency.
2. Optional Second Board Exam (Class 10)
Aligned with NEP 2020, Class 10 students now have an optional second window in May/June 2026 to improve their scores or reappear for specific subjects, reducing the "one-day" exam pressure.
3. Subject-Wise Paper Division (Class 10)
The Science and Social Science papers for Class 10 have been restructured with clear subject-wise divisions (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology). The webcast will explain how to answer these sections to avoid mark deductions.
