CBSE Postpones Class 12 Board Exams in Middle East: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the postponement of Class 12 board examinations scheduled between March 9 and March 11, 2026, for schools located in several Middle East countries. The decision was taken after reviewing the current situation in the region.
The circular issued on March 7, 2026, states that the postponed exams apply to CBSE-affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The board clarified that the exams originally planned for Monday (March 9), Tuesday (March 10), and Wednesday (March 11) will now be conducted on new dates, which will be announced later.
The latest notice is a continuation of earlier CBSE circulars issued on March 1, March 3, and March 5, 2026 regarding the board examinations in the Middle East region.
According to the board, the decision was made after a critical review of the prevailing situation in certain parts of the Middle East. To ensure the safety and convenience of students, the board decided to temporarily defer the scheduled examinations.
CBSE has assured schools and students that revised exam dates will be announced soon through official communication channels.
The board further stated that it will review the situation again on March 10, 2026. Based on the assessment, CBSE will take an appropriate decision regarding the examinations scheduled from March 12, 2026 onwards.
This means that students appearing for exams after March 12 should wait for further updates from the board.
It is advised to all students to stay in regular contact with their respective schools for the latest updates regarding the examination schedule. Schools will share official instructions and revised dates once they are announced by the board.
Students are also encouraged to follow official CBSE notifications carefully and continue their exam preparations until the new schedule is released.
