CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important update for Class 12 students waiting to apply for verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer sheets. The board has confirmed that the online portal for post-result activities will be activated shortly, with an official announcement expected soon.
The update comes after several students raised concerns regarding the delay in the activation of the verification and re-evaluation facility.
Responding to students' queries on X (formerly Twitter), CBSE stated:
"Dear students, Verification and re-evaluation portal will go live soon. Official announcement will follow."
The brief statement indicates that the board is in the final stages of making the portal operational. Students are advised to remain patient and regularly monitor official CBSE platforms for further updates.
The CBSE Post-Result Activities portal allows students to apply for various services after the declaration of results, including verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer sheets.
Earlier, the board had informed students that the portal would be opened in the last week of May. However, CBSE later postponed the launch and announced that additional time was needed to ensure a transparent, secure, and glitch-free application process.
As a result, many students have been waiting for the portal to become active so they can submit their requests.
Verification of marks is the first stage of the post-result process. During verification, CBSE checks whether:
All answers have been evaluated.
Marks have been correctly totaled.
Marks have been properly uploaded and recorded.
Students who are not satisfied with their scores can apply for this service through the official portal once applications begin.
Re-evaluation allows students to request a review of specific answers if they believe there may have been an error in the assessment process. Applications for re-evaluation can be submitted only after completing the required steps prescribed by CBSE.
The board will release detailed guidelines, application dates, fees, and instructions when the portal becomes active.
At present, students do not need to take any immediate action. They should:
Keep their roll number and admit card details ready.
Regularly check official CBSE websites for notifications.
Follow updates issued by CBSE regarding post-result activities.
Wait for the official announcement before attempting to submit applications.
CBSE has assured students that the verification and re-evaluation portal will be available soon. Once activated, eligible candidates will be able to apply online and complete the post-result process within the prescribed timeline.
