CBSE Extends Re-evaluation Application Deadline

In the interest of students, CBSE has decided to extend the last date for applying for Verification of Marks and Re-evaluation of Question(s) for the Class 12 Board Examination 2026.

The earlier deadline was scheduled to end on 6 June 2026 (midnight). However, the board has now extended the application window until 7 June 2026 (midnight).

Revised Schedule

Particulars Date
Previous Last Date 6 June 2026 (Midnight)
Extended Last Date 7 June 2026 (Midnight)

Opportunity for Students Seeking Result Review

The extension offers an important opportunity to students who wish to get their answer sheets reviewed after the declaration of CBSE Class 12 results. Through the verification and re-evaluation process, students can request a recheck of marks, identify possible discrepancies, and ensure that their answer scripts have been evaluated accurately.

Students who were unable to complete the application process before the earlier deadline can now use the extended window to submit their requests without any last-minute rush.

What is Verification and Re-evaluation?

Under the CBSE post-result process:

  • Verification of Marks involves checking whether all answers have been assessed and whether marks have been correctly totaled and recorded.

  • Re-evaluation allows students to request a review of specific answers or questions after obtaining a copy of their evaluated answer book.

This process helps ensure transparency and accuracy in the evaluation system.

How to Apply for CBSE Verification and Re-evaluation?

Students can submit their applications through the official CBSE portal by following these steps:

  1. Visit the CBSE official website.

  2. Open the Examination or Results section.

  3. Click on the Verification/Re-evaluation application link.

  4. Enter the required credentials.

  5. Select the subjects or questions for review.

  6. Pay the applicable fee online.

  7. Submit the application and save the confirmation page.

Students Advised Not to Wait Until the Last Moment

CBSE has requested students to take advantage of the extended deadline and complete their applications well before the closing time to avoid technical issues caused by heavy traffic on the portal.

Candidates must ensure that all details entered during the application process are correct and that the required fee payment is successfully completed before the deadline expires.

Important Note

The extended deadline is applicable only for Class 12 Board Examination 2026 Verification and Re-evaluation applications. No further extension has been announced by CBSE so far. Students are therefore advised to submit their requests by 7 June 2026 midnight.
